In this Patron only XTRA, we take a look at more central interviews and appearances from the 1990's, that Prince made during his fight with WB Records for ownership of his music, master recordings, and to promote the issue of artists' rights. We look at 5 key moments for Prince that took place between 1994 and 1998.
Actually, I made a "mini-clip" or short video in early 2017 called "A Mini-clip to Brighten Your Day", that I made just as a little between series episode fun clip for viewers. In that mini-clip (which is posted on Patreon for patrons), I showed 2 central public moments for Prince: Receiving the "Artist of the Decade" Soul Train Music award in 2000, and Induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004. What was important in those 2 moments were Prince's words in the speeches he gave at these events. There is no post here on this website of that short clip, but it is on the Patreon channel for patrons to view.
This series XTRA, builds upon that short 2017 "mini-clip" by looking at "More Moments in the Battle With WB Records" that took place from 1994-1998 for Prince at the time when he was battling with the label to escape his contract and artistic oppression. It was at this time 1994 and 1995 that Prince has "SLAVE" scrawled upon his cheek.
In this XTRA, we look at 5 key appearances that Prince made 1994-1998 where he took advantage of the platform to speak out on this fight for freedom from WB Records. And of course, we also look at the coding of these events and appearances, many in line with the Prince murder ritual gematria code.
Coming up in the series, when we reach the late 80s and 1990's we will look at these moments again along with dozens of others from Prince's 19 year fight for freedom.
-1 Unreleased Prince track from the episode posted for Patrons of the “Lovesexy” Tier and higher.
